Balinatunfib will stop after interim Phase 2 analyses in Crohn&#8217;s disease and ulcerative colitis failed internal efficacy expectations and\/or the primary clinical-remission endpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Itepekimab, an anti-IL-33 monoclonal antibody partnered with Regeneron, had already produced discordant Phase 3 COPD outcomes in AERIFY 1 and AERIFY 2. Sanofi and Regeneron now elected not to continue COPD development and will discontinue chronic-rhinosinusitis studies as well.<\/p>\n<p>Balinatunfib, an oral TNF inhibitor, was being studied in Phase 2 Crohn&#8217;s disease and ulcerative colitis trials.
